Plain Benefits

Privacy policy

Last updated June 29, 2026

The short version

We don't ask who you are. We don't use cookies. Nothing you type into the eligibility check is saved or sent anywhere. You can use this whole site without giving up any personal information.

Who we are

Plain Benefits is a free, plain-language information project, built by Parity Platforms. We are not the government and not the official WIC program. We explain public benefits in plain language so families can get help they qualify for.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account or log in. We do not ask for your name, address, income, or any other personal details to use this site.

The "Do I qualify" self-check runs entirely on your own phone or computer. Your answers are never saved and never sent to us or anyone else. When you close or refresh the page, they are gone.

How we count visits

We use Fathom Analytics to count how many people visit our pages, so we know which guides are helpful. Fathom is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal information. We only see anonymous, grouped totals, never anything that identifies you.

Links to other sites

When you tap "Call" a clinic, "Get directions" (which opens Google Maps), or a link to the official Louisiana WIC or USDA websites, you leave Plain Benefits. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we don't control them.

We don't sell your data

We have no personal data to sell, share, or rent, and we never would.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
